We at Hewitt Young take pride in all our projects that we are fortunate enough to be a part of, especially those that improve resources and enable people to build a better future for themselves. Our work with the Bath Veteran’s Administration Community Living Center (CLC) has allowed us to improve and install key aspects that play an integral role in establishing a strong foundation for all those who enter through the doors.
Our team’s work is focused on the CLC’s third floor, which contains 35 rooms that accommodate Veterans and their specific needs. We have both upgraded and installed systems in the building, improving the processes that allow staff and residents to go about their day-to-day. This renovation will add 35 more patient beds, allowing the staff at the CLC to provide medical care to Veterans from the United States Military.
Reconstruction of the CLC started in March of 2019 and is scheduled to be complete in November of 2020. Our team was able to install all new lighting and power, and full security systems including cameras, access control, and a nurse call system. We are also upgrading the fire alarm and data systems in the facility, ensuring that anyone who walks through the doors of the CLC feels secure and safe.
Our team has put in over 4,500 man-hours so far, adhering to all safety guidelines outlined by the CDC to ensure that not only our team but also our customers stay safe. We feel very fortunate that we have been able to contribute to this job that directly helps those who have served our country. We are extremely proud of our team and the hard work they have put in so far on this job and cannot wait to see the finished product!
