Our Margarita Friday is a fundraiser hosted by Hewitt Young Electric to raise funds for a charity in the area or a family in need. Last year, we raised a little over $3,000 for our friends at the Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide a supportive “home away from home” for families of children receiving health care in the Rochester community.

This year, we held our event to raise money to support our four-legged friends of the Verona Street Animal Society! The Verona Street Animal Shelter relies completely on the donations of its supporters to provide temporary homes for rescues in the area until a facilitated adoption occurs. The shelter is always in need of monetary donations to provide medical care, as well as unopened packages of food, bedding, towels, and new toys.

Over 37 different raffle prizes from our sponsors to further fuel donations and all you could drink margaritas helped increase excitement around our event. Our Cinco de Mayo themed decorations kept the atmosphere lively. Nothing but smiles could be seen from those attending. Overall, we had a ton of fun!

We are very proud to announce that we raised over $5,000 at our Margarita Friday event, this year! This has been our largest and most successful Margarita Friday in the last 15 years!
