At Hewitt Young, we have made it a habit to reward those individuals that go above and beyond to live our values. To reward those who continuously make it a great day, we established the Impactful Serving Leader Award, the Innovation Award, the Community Outreach Award, the Craftsmanship Award, and the Fun Kid Award.

At Hewitt Young Electric, we place the highest priority on providing employees with a safe and clean work environment. Indeed, it’s hard to overstate the importance of safety in construction projects. What makes it so critical?

The Hewitt Young Foundations first-ever Moonlight Masquerade Gala was a huge success! Close to 200 attendees experienced the unique creativity of the art adorning Artisan Works, as everyone gathered to raise funds for the Western NY Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. These wishes enrich young children’s lives with hope, strength, and joy.

Learning, Mentorship, and Teamwork.  They all go hand-in-hand if you want to better yourself and others around you.  You go through many different phases in your career as well as life.   One day you are the kid playing baseball, the next you are watching your own son or daughter play a sport.  I remember all those “old people” telling me how fast life goes by.  It is all too true.

As we at Hewitt Young, continue to improve our company culture: the shared set of values, assumptions, and perspective that draw members of our organization together into a tight-knit, smoothly operating team dedicated to a common purpose; we have also continued to work to establish a higher purpose for our organization through community involvement. For us, community involvement is the power to bring positive, measurable change to the communities where we live and operate our business. Our drive to promote positive change in the community around us has led us to the creation of our 501(c)3-non-profit organization: the Hewitt Young Foundation.

There are career paths that just by the name itself garners respect: positions like Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, Professor, etc. Unfortunately, one of those fields not included on that list is a construction worker.  The question is why?  What has led to the contempt of the men and women who built this country?  Why the side-eye when they walk into your establishment with a little dirt on their pants?  It’s interesting because as numerous white-collar jobs are beginning to be outsourced to machines and automated programs there is one position that is deemed too complicated for robots to even begin fathoming on taking the task.  That position…the average American Construction Worker. 

The Seneca Towers project consisted of upgrades to the existing facility as well as a new HVAC equipment located in Rochester, NY. The upgrades included the installation of new power distribution panels, variable frequency drives, motor starters, and a CO2 detection system.

For most of my younger years, I believed these two words to be synonymous with each other, or one generated the other.” Speak of the truth and honesty comes naturally” someone said. According to Webster’s dictionary TRUTH: real things, events or facts. HONESTY: refusal to lie, deceive, incapable of being false.
