LIVONIA LIBRARY

FEATURED PROJECTS

LIVONIA LIBRARY

Livonia Library was constructed in 1927 to provide a wide range of programs, services, and materials to all ages of the Livonia community. In 2015, the library proposed a $2.1 million-dollar expansion, renovation, and upgrade. The project included a completely Americans with Disabilities Act compliant facility, a reimagined children’s library and learning lab, a community meeting room, a fireside reading lounge, a local history center, a tech area, a business and employment development workstation, a staff working space, new men’s and women’s bathrooms, renovation to the existing library, preservation of the historic entrance, an outdoor reading area and a completely updated electrical system. Hewitt Young is proud to have taken part in the completion of this project.
